<![CDATA[<img src="http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/1425/lvhiltontwitter.jpg" class="top"> Our little sib, <a href="http://www.vegaschatter.com/story/2011/6/29/181759/498/vegas-travel/Las_Vegas_Hilton_To_Become_Las_Vegas_Dot_Dot_Dot">VegasChatter</a> alerted us yesterday that the iconic-but-has-seen-better-days <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Hilton+Las+Vegas/local/67">Hilton Las Vegas</a> will no longer be called the Hilton Las Vegas as Hilton Hotels has apparently ditched the property. According to the <a href="http://www.lvrj.com/business/hilton-terminating-franchise-agreement-with-las-vegas-hilton-124735929.html">LVRJ</a>, Hilton has decided not to renew the franchise agreement which means that the Hilton Las Vegas will have to give up the hotel name and its loyalty program.However, a spokesperson for the hotel said that the property will announce a new partnership with another major hotel group before the end of the year. A while back we put the Las Vegas Hilton on the Crapping Out tier of our Viva Las Vegas Hotel Map mostly for bad location, the nerdy Star Trek Experience and outdated decor.

But we almost reconsidered this after learning out that you can get free WiFi there as well as some decent rates.

Now, we have a first person review from a reader who was extremely disappointed by the Las Vegas Hilton. But for different reasons than we would expect. So where does this hotel stand?
