Well, sorta. Yesterday, 150 "of New York’s movers & shakers" got a look at the Sky Terrace at an exclusive soiree with a guest list that included New York big-names Luigi Tadini, Amanda Hearst, Richie Rich, Antony Todd and Susan Shin, with entertainment by singer

New York: Dream New York for $113 Through Quikbook's NYC Sale

Oooh. Quikbook launched another 72-hour hotel sale this morning (oh, we should mention they launched it first to their Twitter followers — so if you're not acclimated to the Twitterverse yet, perhaps this will help make a case) and we were mighty impressed with what we found for a couple of hotels in July.
First up: with this 72-hour sale, you'll get 25% off your rate (summer stays; late June through early September) if you book by Friday at 5:00 pm. Through that discount, we managed to find ourselves a room at the Dream Hotel in Midtown for $113 per night on July 5th. This is a hotel, mind you, that back

Morgans Continues Hating On the Recession With 'Recess Is On'

Like any hotel chain right now, they are likely not enjoying what's going on — people are not traveling so much or shelling out the big bucks as of late. They've joined every other hotel ever and have responded by offering deals, but they're taking it one step further and, uh, distracting you with artsy stuff.
They've just launched RecessIsOn (get it? Recession/Recess/It's on?) and the recession-hating tie-in is kind of confusing.
