Miami's Sagamore is the sugar daddy in this equation, but of course there is a catch: you have to play CEO for two days. The hotel's latest 'deal' lets cashed-up guests be 'Chief Entertainment Officer' by checking into the three-bedroom penthouse and taking advantage of some high-roller amenities--including a brand new iPad2.

While we haven't heard any rumblings about the rumored sale of Miami Beach's Sagamore lately, we have heard encouraging things about the hotel's bookings. Apparently, business has been good--and to celebrate, the hotel is going to give away a week-long stay on its new Facebook page.
Art Basel in December certainly helped fill rooms--Sagamore is nicknamed 'The Art Hotel', and hosts an annual exhibition from the Cricket Taplin Collection during the art fair. But the rest of 2010 was healthy, too--the hotel says recent bookings have exceeded the numbers of its 2001 reopening period.

As we mentioned on Monday, Miami hotel rooms are getting harder to find for stays next week, thanks to Art Basel Miami Beach, which hits town Dec. 2–5.
In addition to the main fair, there are scores of satellite fairs, gallery shows, and public art events happening throughout South Beach and the Design District. Quite a few hotels will be hosting their own art exhibitions as well.
We did a quick rate check for the properties that will be worth checking out--for their exhibitions--even if you can't check in.
