The New York Post sent a reporter to work for two days as a bellman for the Hotel Giraffe on Park Ave. South and 26th.

The experience was all part of the paper's travel section stories on working in the service sector of the travel industry.

Some fun facts the reporter learned?

Room 204 does not have a bathtub, guest should always be offered something upon arrival even if just a bucket of ice, Europeans bring heavy baggage, and bellman are sort of like god, they see everything you do.
