All you have to do is search like you normally would but look for the hotels with the green "Special Offer" tags.We tried it for NYC on New Year's Eve and as expected, no dice. Then we tried it for Vegas and the half-opened <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Sahara+Las+Vegas+Hotel+and+Casino/local/1631">Sahara</a> came up for 35 percent off the listed price. Hmm...no thanks. The <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Encore+Las+Vegas/local/1397">Encore Las Vegas</a> came up too with a $75 resort credit but rooms are $699 for New Year's Eve. See for yourself right here. The other day we got a live tip from Jessica who was staying at the Wellington Hotel aka The Borat Hotel in Manhattan.

She was extremely disappointed with the false advertising of kitchenettes, the falling-apart furniture and the poor service. And today, she was kind enough to send us the pics from her room.

Ugh, we would rather watch the naked wrestling scene in Borat in slow motion than have to stay in this room.

We awoke to this email in our inbox this morning from tipster Jessica who is staying at the Wellington Hotel a.k.a the Borat Hotel.

I just wanted to give other travellers the warning that this hotel falsely advertises kitchenettes in rooms and offers falling-apart furniture in its rooms. The service left something to be desired.

We checked the website and it does say that there are microwaves and refrigerators in all suites but that doesn't apply to standard rooms. Hopefully, there's at least a mini-bar. We would need to get loaded before we slept on those hideous floral bedspreads.
