So now that King & Grove is on a whirlwind takeover spree (see Los Angeles, The Hotel Chelsea and The Hotel Williamsburg), we thought it was high tide, er, time we popped into one of their hotels to see what all the fuss was about.

Yet as far as we can tell, there's not much too fuss over.

Tides Riviera Maya, now the Viceroy Riviera Maya

Now that the Tides South Beach is no longer a Viceroy Hotel (it belongs to cool kid hotel brand, King & Grove), we've been wondering what would be happening to the Tides Hotel brand that Viceroy had spun-out from this iconic South Beach property. Well, today we have our answer. Sort of.
