All you have to do is search like you normally would but look for the hotels with the green "Special Offer" tags.
We tried it for NYC on New Year's Eve and as expected, no dice. Then we tried it for Vegas and the half-opened Sahara came up for 35 percent off the listed price. Hmm...no thanks. The Encore Las Vegas came up too with a $75 resort credit but rooms are $699 for New Year's Eve.
Las Vegas: Sorry, But Getting Locked Out of a Killer View is an Anti-View

Or at the very least, the hotels are going to charge you a little bit more for rooms with a view of the neon skyline.
But what if you get a room with a decent view and a balcony but the sliding door is locked? That's what we found at Bally's last weekend. Check out these scary-looking window locks on the sliding doors.
This was taken from a room on the 25th floor--a smoking room. Yeah, the cigarette stench is not

But the die-hard green beer-drinkers (and of course, college kids) will remain true to the 17th.
This holiday is one where a hotel room is completely necessary. You don't want to pull a Mel Gibson on this night and while some of you might have alternative sleeping arrangements (Yes! We're talking to you serial bed-hoppers and couch-surfers) we're thinking that we'd like to end a night of Erin Go Braugh revelry and the unfortunate "Come On Eileen" sing-along on a nice fluffy bed with (hopefully) a toilet very,

But according to the Las Vegas Sun, city officials have begun to sense the pain of rising fuel costs and a downturn in economy with a budding concern of how to continue to fill their 130,000 rooms, with another 40,000 on the way.
On the upside, family, couple and single travelers luckily are being bombarded with promotional savings, from two-for-one offers and slot credits to cheaper eats and free cocktails.
