Thanks to some friends who reside in the John Hancock Center, we were able to spend some time 80+ stories above Michigan Avenue, and therefore high over the various 4 and 5-star hotels that line it. It's an older 4-star that's recently revamped with freshened-up rooms and a great restaurant called Pelago. When we last stayed here back in <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2009/10/21/102054/29/hotels/">October</a>, we didn't have a chance to check out their 18th floor roof deck, but now we see it just fine.
