San Francisco: A Little Bit Of Inception From The Top Of The Mark

How’s this for an Inception moment? There we were, yesterday, having lunch at the Top of the Mark in San Francisco’s Intercontinental Mark Hopkins, looking idly at the view of the Transamerica Building, the Golden Gate Bridge and Twin Peaks when we cast our eyes southwest and noticed The Clift. We’d stayed there last week, so that tickled us.
But then our eyes panned a little to the right and saw a tiny rooftop oasis with palm-type plants and bushes and sun loungers. And as we were thinking how cute it was, we realised that it was the penthouse at the Hotel Adagio. And, coincidentally, our room, since we’d checked in at 11pm

Now That HotelTonight is Live, What Kind of Deals Does it Have?

Well, just in time for your last-minute panic attacks about getting a hotel room for New Year's Eve, the site has officially launched.
(But since it's a mobile booking site, we should really say, the app is now available to download.)
So what makes HotelTonight different from other booking sites? First off, the site promises exclusive, members-only rates. And becoming a member will automatically get you $10 off your first booking. Secondly, as its name suggest, Hotel Tonight enables you to book a room for that night as late as 2am. Here's what they say:

Is

San Francisco: The Newest Hotel Rate Gimmick: Hotel Adagio's Special $9.99 Rate

There isn't a very good track record for hotels that do promotions with shockingly low rates. Remember the Leading Hotels of the World's $19.28 fiasco or the recent Copley Square Hotel $18 birthday rate failure? So excuse us for being a little skeptical about the $9.99 promotion from the Hotel Adagio in San Francisco.
The JDV Hotel is advertising a rate of $9.09 for guests who check-in the Sunday or Monday of Labor Day Weekend (September 6th or 7th) and want to extend their stay over September 9th, or 09/09/09. Just to be clear, the rate of $9.99 is for the night of September 9th. Guests must use code 090909 to book.
Sure
