Only 12 of the 122 condos have been sold. 12 of 122!* And not helping was the fact that the hotel opened in the worst of times for the hotel industry.&#x3C;p&#x3E;The hotel really never had much good mojo behind it as the opening date was delayed because of &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2009/9/17/122847/254/hotels/Thanks_to_Money_Issues_The_W_Boston_Will_Now_Open_on_October_22nd&#x22;&#x3E;money issues&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. <title>Boston: Five Reasons to Check In and Check Out Boston This Winter</title>
<link>http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2009/12/2/105531/570</link>
<description>&#x3C;![CDATA[&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;img src=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/30451/Bostonplate.jpg&#x22; class=&#x22;top&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E; We&#x26;#146;ve always liked &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/city/boston&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;Boston&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, but we also know a few people who think of it as a stuffy city&#x26;#151;too preppy and picture perfect&#x26;#151;or a place full of obnoxious sports fans. One thing&#x26;#146;s for sure: the hotel scene in Boston has long been dominated by the big chains and historic properties that have more to offer your Nanna than the digital nomad or weekend-tripper. But no more! Boutique hotels and modern design have come to town, and even the stalwart chains are getting facelifts to stay in step with the competition. &#x3C;p&#x3E;So now, not only can you fly cool airlines like &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.jaunted.com/tag/jetblue&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;JetBlue&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.jaunted.com/tag/virgin america&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;Virgin America&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E; and &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.jaunted.com/tag/southwest&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;Southwest&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, you can stay somewhere just as hip.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;</description>
