The good news? They have rooms available for $99 a night. The bad news? Those are with shared baths. While we told you about the planned Palm Springs location <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2007/12/3/165413/030/hotels/The_Peninsula_Hotel_In_Manila_Has_Re_Opened">Monday</a>, we've since learned more and also heard about a possible Ace in New York. In Manhattan, the Ace plans to redesign the landmarked Breslin Hotel on a rundown stretch of Broadway (above). Also planned for the hotel is an outpost of Rudy's Barber Shop, a Stumptown coffee shop and maybe even a Spotted Pig-affiliated restaurant. The California edition plans to install itself in an old Howard Johnson which the hotel bought in October.
