A venerable Miami tipster pointed us to the dining section of the <a href="http://www.zoceanhotelsouthbeach.com/cuisine.htm">hotel's website</a> where Table 8 is not listed at all, only two new restaurants "coming soon." It was, however, still listed on the <a href="http://table8restaurants.com/">Table 8 restaurants</a> site. But when we hit up the resto's <a href="http://www.opentable.com/rest_profile.aspx?rid=5718">Open Table</a> listing, it said the restaurant was "Currently Unavailable." Thanks to tipster Tony ("you're gggreeeat!"), we learned that the hotel is now branded a <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/tag/crown%20plaza%20hotels">Crowne Plaza Hotel</a> under Intercontinental Hotels' ownership.The hotel started its life as <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2006/11/1/234129/740/hotels/Miami_Hotels_Opening_Report_The_Regent_South_Beach">The Regent South Beach</a>. Our time is precious and during our quick visit to Miami today, we only had time to do a drive-by tour of some hotels.
