We didn't really notice that the names of the Z Ocean Hotel South Beach and Long Island City, New York's Z Hotel were so similar. Or, at least, it didn't bother us. But it sure did get up Z Ocean's nose.

The developers of the South Beach hotel filed a lawsuit against the owners of Z Hotel, accusing them of trademark infringement and seeking damages. But, as The Real Deal reports, the suit wound up being settled--with both hotels agreeing to keep their names but Z NYC forced to redesign its logo.

In a late-night town like Miami, breakfast is all-important. So we feel it is our duty to let you know about the impending move of one of the beach's favorite breakfast joints. The Front Porch Cafe Ocean Drive is moving on over to Collins Ave next month--into this spot at the Z Ocean Hotel.

Now that we've finally gotten our heads around the constant name changes at this hotel, we think we can adjust to a new sidewalk cafe as well. Especially when there is a breakfast pizza--available at all hours--involved.
