Loden Vancouver, the funky new B.C. hotel that has the distinction of being Kor Hotels' first Canadian venture, made a big splash when it debuted on October 18th (which was almost a year late, but that's not important now).

Rates at the swanky 77-room, contemporary waterfront property are starting at $199 tonight — but there are some killer packages on the way for the holiday season if you want a little somethin' more.

Loden Vancouver is Kor Hotels' first Canadian venture and is set to make its grand debut on October 18th. A year late. Yeah, there's been some drama-dramz here. The hotel was originally supposed to open in Fall 2007, and it looked to be nearing completion but missed its opening date.

Then it was supposed to open in March 2008 and had rates listed on its website and everything -- but then no.

But now: rejoice! It's almost ready to go! And Voya Restaurant -- headed up by highly-acclaimed chef Marc-Andre Choquette -- will be opening up as well.

<![CDATA[<img src="http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/admin/vr_loden.jpg" class="imgborder">Vancouver-based <a href="http://www.vacantready.com/site/fresh_management_at_the_loden_vancouver/">Vacant Ready</a> has the scoop on the latest hotel from <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/tag/kor%20hotels">Kor Hotels</a> saying that the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Loden/ian/259411">Loden Vancouver</a> is nearing completion but obviously didn't make their <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2007/7/16/6427/43589/hotels/Loden_Coming_Soon_to_Vancouver">expected</a> Fall 2007 opening date.Vacant Ready says  the hotel is expected for March 2008 and has already hired some key personnel--GMs, sales directors, etc. The hotel is also ramping up its Voya restaurant helmed by executive chef  Marc-Andre.While the place isn't open, the website has listed some packages and special rates that will be available such as the 21-day advance rate (book three weeks out and get a special rate) and a special web-only rate.
