Where To Find Hotels with iMacs

We all know there are two types of people in this world: Mac users and PC users. And if you're a big traveler, you'd better hope you're a Mac user -- or get to learnin'.
The Mac Blorge blog reports that Apple's Enterprise Sales Group has been installing thousands of Apple products--like iMacs, Mac minis, Mac Pros, and Xserves--in hotels (and even aboard cruise ships) as hoteliers are increasingly seeking to stand out from their competitors by offering thoroughly modern guest experiences.
So, the big question: where can you find hotels today that are offering up iMacs for guests to use? Keep reading to find out.

Montreal: The First-Ever Aloft Hotel Gets Sized Up By The New York Times

This is actually the bed at Aloft Rancho Cucamonga. But they are pretty much all alike.
It's "cleverly designed." The lobby is "a hoot." Rooms are "subdued." We'll give you one guess where The New York Times stayed recently...Aloft!
Specifically, Aloft Montreal Airport. The review is more about the brand than the property itself, and it's spot on about the elements of Aloft that do and do not work. For instance, the hotel earns points for having guest rooms with a "refreshing lack of clutter," but loses out with "corporate chirpiness" like when desk clerks say "Aloha" instead of hello.
(We don't quite get all that aloha business either. We're not in Hawaii,

After the Aloft Hype Dies Down, the Guest Reviews Come In

Now that the smoke has cleared from the first big blitz of Aloft hotel openings and we had a chance to spend a night in one ourselves, we dropped by our trusty ol' pal TripAdvisor to check out customers' reactions to the brand.
And the reviews were kinda all over the place. Most of them were positive, though, and the words "cool" and "funky" were used a lot. Someone even called it a "hipper Four Points by Sheraton" (really?) but then finished out the review by saying the concept just doesn't quite come together.
But some were not quite that nice.

When we last checked on Friday, this Aloft (long-hyped as the first Aloft ever to open anywhere) was opening July 14.
Guess someone had a fit over the weekend and now the hotel will open in just a few weeks.
A non-smoking king room is open for $169 a night. Again, that's the internet rate so no changes allowed. A best available rate of $179 is available if your plans are dicey.
Another thing to note: If you are an SPG member and you book a stay at Aloft under the super promotion where
