Free cupcakes? Yes, we've seen those before. But the Duane Street Hotel is taking hotel sweets to the next level with an inspired turndown service idea: hand-made marshmallows delivered to your room.

Oh yes, people. Available Thursday through Sunday nights, the hotel's marshmallow expert plies the halls with a cart stacked high with the treats, in flavors straight out of the hotel kitchen's wheelhouse. On offer right now are lavender, lime and mango, but we expect other tastes like ginger, cardamom and thyme to rotate in.

A call to the hotel confirms that dinner service at the 40-seat lobby restaurant is still in the works. In the meantime, the lunch menu is now up on the hotel website, and it looks decent.
