And now we're saying it again because the weather in the Big Apple has actually been nice enough, off and on this winter, for some rooftop imbibing. The trick to Ink48's killer view is its odd position on the island of Manhattan; it's in Midtown West. No, even further westextreme west Hell's Kitchen, on 11th Avenue practically in the Hudson River. To the west are the cruise ship piers and, to the east, the crop of skyscrapers that radiate out from Midtown.

Kimpton Hotels just sent a "secret" email blast out to its loyalty club members, promising rooms from as little as $79 on weekends at 19 properties in 16 cities across the country. And while these excellent prices are non-refundable and prepaid, the brand promises that "in the event of unruly blizzards, no worriesyou may reschedule your weekend stay." Nice one. We're intrigued by the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Hotel+Monaco+Chicago+-+a+Kimpton+Hotel/local/469">Hotel Monaco Chicago</a> from $109 and the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Nine+Zero+/local/922">Nine Zero</a> in Boston from $139. New York: Double the Snuggies! NYC Rooftop Bars Drink Through the Cold

Indoor-outdoor rooftop bar 230 Fifth, already rightly famous for its Snuggie offerings, is going even bigger this winter, just in time for a cold snap that has New Yorkers even more gripey than usual.

Set atop the former Victoria Hotel, the massive nightlife space is adding 50 new heaters and doubled the size of its Snuggie collection to more than 1,000, meaning the club now has enough fleece robes for every last guest. Also added this season is a new drink list which purportedly includes cocktails

which offer a moderate dose of that jolt popularized by the now-banned caffeine and alcohol infused energy drinks, such as Four Lokko.
