As with some of its other properties (such as Miami&#146;s Epic), the hotel will share space with apartments, in this case rentals. The Eventi will also share its entire-city-block with retail stores and an outdoor plaza with public seating. <p>Even better, the developers plan to construct a 20-foot wide screen to be used in the plaza for public and private events. That is, if you ignore some of the construction that's still going on downstairs in the lobby and on the exterior of the hotel. <p>Still, we've been waiting a long time for the <s>Vu Hotel</s> Ink48 to open and service-wise, it did not disappoint. What do they say? VU. As in <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2009/4/7/94223/24860/hotels/Will_The_VU_Hotel_Not_Be_Called_The_VU_Hotel_">The Vu Hotel</a>, the hotel's original name. <p>We've inquired about this embroidery mishap and we're waiting to hear back. But we have to say, we really loved the VU name and it was very apropro. Room rates are currently going for $269 tonight for a total of $312 with taxes. <p>The hotel is located on 11th Avenue in a former printing house and each room has retained the building's original high ceilings.
