The Hotel Bikini Trend Continues, Now Starring Trina Turk

When it rains, it pours and right now in Turks & Caicos hotel land, it's raining bikinis. Designer bikinis inspired by luxury resorts, that is.
Yesterday, we told you about Heidi Klein's Parrot Cay-inspired collection--but there's a real resortwear star hot on her heels, too. Trina Turk's collaboration with another TCI property, Grace Bay Club, hits stores on December 15. It's called--of course--the Trina Turks & Caicos collection and is the first designer collabo for the resort.

Parrot Cay Inspires Bikinis (And Nope, Not By Resident Donna Karan)

We're still talking about our trip to Parrot Cay and that was over a year ago. So, we totally understand how the beach-posh beauty of the resort inspires people to move there (what's up, Bruce Willis? You, too, Donna Karan?)--and now, design a resort-wear collection inspired by the place.
Surprisingly, the designer in question is not Karan--although she does sell the divine COMO Shambala beauty products in her Urban Zen boutique in NYC. The new Parrot Cay pieces are from Heidi Klein, a Brit known for creating swimwear that 'exudes a barefoot chic confidence'.

The Chef Makes House Calls at The Regent Palms in Turks & Caicos

Really pretty ones that we wish we had back home.
We didn't cook while here, of course, although we gave that Nespresso machine a good little workout. We imagine some families might cook in these rooms--the hotel even has a gourmet market near the lobby where you can buy easy-peasy ingredients to stock in that huge fridge.
But if you find yourself longing to get use out of that stove and are just too darn lazy to cook yourself, that's OK--the Regent Palms' chef will come to your suite and whip up a

But you know what's a hell of a lot more fun than thinking about a hotel room in Dallas? Watching the Super Bowl from an oceanview hotel room in Turks & Caicos.
The Gansevoort Turks & Caicos gets it. They're getting a 16-foot big-screen TV ready to set up on Grace Bay Beach, and finalizing plans for a sand-in-your-toes tailgate party complete with drinks specials and wings.

Head To Gansevoort Turks & Caicos Post Turkey With a Cyber Monday Deal

Here's another addition to the list that may help you through the hell of the holidays: the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos is offering 30% off rack rates (usually around $400 a night), a room upgrade and a $100 resort credit when you book on November 29.
Of course, there are some caveats: there is a 4-night minimum and the deal is only for Monday to Friday night stays. The reservation must be paid in full when you book and it's non-refundable.
