Four members of the parliament have been killed since the assassination of the former prime minister in 2005, so they're playing it safe, and aren't even allowed near the hotel windows (which overlook the Mediterranean Sea) for fear of a sniper.Fortunately the government

Have you ever been to Lebanon?

Turns out trips to Lebanon, and more specifically Beirut are heating up.

In the next few years the cities dearth of quality hotels will be filled by Hilton, Grand Hyatt, Four Seasons, and even some sort of Philippe Starck project.

Until the new hotels arrive, and maybe even after that, we recommend checking out the Hotel Albergo.

The all suite hotel is draped in decorative Middle Eastern trimmings, and comes equipped with a slick sounding rooftop garden terrace.

It is good to have a go to hotel in Beirut.
