The Baltimore Hilton Hopes to Win the Hearts of Ballpark Fans This Friday

The Hilton Baltimore, situated ideally between the Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home of the Orioles, and the Baltimore Convention Center has answered the city's need for a convention center hotel, but at the same time, it has enraged locals with a skyline-blocking design as seen from inside the ballpark.

When it opens this Friday, hopefully everyone will get a chance to form their own opinion.

No Room Service For The Yankees

On the Waterfront: Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel

Like many people who stay at The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, we chose it for its location--downtown Baltimore, across the street from the waterfront--as much as for the rooms. Here are impressions of our two-night stay this past weekend in two rooms (We had two peeps in each room.) We'd reserved both rooms by phone with the hotel earlier this summer. One was with a waterfront view. The other overlooked the hotel atrium.
