In fact, wasn't someone planning to dock a cruise ship in Vancouver to increase the hotel room supply?
Well, thankfully you won't have to train your sea legs. But the rates blew us away, too; they were running a steep $429 CAD on average. Bleh.
However! Good news: the hotel is celebrating its 20th year in '09, and to commemorate the occasion, those kind Canadian folks at Fairmont Chateau Whistler are offering 20 rooms every day for the remainder of 2009 at $99 and rezzies open up tomorrow (Wednesday).

In fact, we found it hard to keep track of all the lodgings right in Whistler Village and we didn't even get around to all the lodgings outside the Village. Oh and don't forget apartment rentals too.
As always, where you want to stay depends on the budget you have, the scene you are looking for and if being close to the slopes is really important to you. We tried to address a little bit of everything in some of our hotel picks, listed after the jump.
