<title>Drinks And Octopussies At Jamaican Boutique</title>
<link>http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2005/5/18/91752/0605</link>
<description>&#x3C;![CDATA[&#x3C;img align=&#x22;right&#x22; src=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/3/jakes.jpg&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E; &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.islandoutpost.com/jakes&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;Jake&#x27;s&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E; is an off-the-beaten path boutique resort in Jamaica.&#x3C;p&#x3E; The resort is comprised of 12 individually designed cottages with funky decor, some with decks, that line Calabash Bay.&#x3C;p&#x3E; This place is not for everyone. It is a tad on the rustic side, and the resort beach is not great, however, if you are looking for a secluded Jamaican experience try one of the Octopussy cottages at Jake&#x27;s. The service is laid back and friendly, headlined by Duggie, Jake&#x27;s legendary bartender who makes incredible drinks at the Pelican Bar. So what is there to do if the nearby beaches aren&#x27;t pristine? Hire a local to take you fishing, kayak, or read a book. Sounds like a good</description>
