And guess what? It is.The <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Aloft+Plano/ian/271688">Aloft Plano</a> is now open. The hotel officially opened its doors yesterday and room rates are going for $249 tonight. Next Monday, the rate drops down to $179 a night. Still, that seems kinda pricey to us. Wasn't this supposed to be a budget-y brand? Yet, there's not much else to report since it's an Aloft and we all know what is inside <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/tag/aloft%20hotels">those hotels</a>. Aloha! Today, a tipster wrote in to tell us that Aloft in Plano, Texas looked like it was nearing completion. Looks like you're shooting for a November 20th opening. Cool! You go, Aloft!

With this in mind, we realize it might be time to start planning the kickass grand opening party -- and we'd like to remind you that it's pretty important to have a celebrity on the guest list. Fortunately for you, we took the liberty of coming up with a few suggestions.

NYLO Plano Update :: The Loft Heats Up

We were among the first to bring you a review of the flagship NYLO brand property in Plano, Texas this winter, and now that the hotel has been up and running for almost 6 months, we checked in with our friends at TripAdvisor to see how the property's been doing.

And things are lookin' pretty good! Aside from the same sorts of structural headscratchers we mentioned a few months ago--bathroom doors that leave little to the imagination, for instance-- recent guests have tons of good things to say.
