Designed by Adam D. Tihany, who's done the decor for The Joule Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, made over the Crescent Wing's 40 rooms and 10 suites. The refreshed rooms draw inspiration from British colonial style and native Bahamian elements.]]>
The Atlantis has already secured its status as the preeminent hotel for tweeners by getting Disney factory hitmakers like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers to perform and hang out at the Bahamas hotel. Last year it even hosted a Miss Teen Fantasy Camp to start girls feeling self-loathing early.
Just in case you were worried Atlantis was in danger of losing its tween cred, the hotel announced that it's getting two of the hottest names among the under-14 set: Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. Insert screams from little-girl Bieber Believers and Swift wanna-bes here.]]>
O.M.G. Remember when we got all excited about the prospect of a Lego Hotel?
Yeah, well, just like personalized jet-packs for space travel, that hasn't happened. But there is another piece of Lego hotel news that's pretty awesome, even if it's taking place at the mega-zoo that is Atlantis in the Bahamas. It's Lego Fantasy Camp. Yes! Lego Camp.
You can only sign up if you're aged 6–12 but we're still trying to brainstorm a way around that one, so let's look at what's involved in the meantime. The five-day Lego workshops will take place in the new kids club, Atlantis Kids Adventures, in three separate sessions in July: 12–16; 19–23; and 26–30.
