<title>A Little Bit of Stepford at the Seven Gables Inn</title>
<link>http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2006/8/30/22033/5607</link>
<description>&#x3C;![CDATA[&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;img src=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/admin/green_gables.jpg&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;Have you ever wondered what it was like to be in the world of the Stepford Wives? You can find out by heading to the &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.pginns.com/7gables/abt7g.html&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;Seven Gables Inn&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E; on Monterey Bay. A historic inn that serves up egg-rich breakfasts, wine and cheese hour, and more snacks galore was touted as excellent but &#x22;strict&#x22;. That&#x27;s because you&#x27;re going to have to show up on time for these folks or you can forget about your snacks:&#x3C;p&#x3E; &#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;One note about &#x22;Happy Hour&#x22;, if we got back past 5:30 pm, all the wine was gone and even when I asked, they wouldn&#x27;t open a fresh bottle but offered to sell me a bottle! A little tacky.&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E; Despite this, the place is charming,</description>
