As we eagerly await the opening of <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/tag/Wollywood">The W Hollywood</a> on December 3, we've got word that construction on the hotel's nightclub, Drai's Hollywood--a spin-off of the legendary Las Vegas club--has begun. The club's construction firm, R.D. Olson sent us this press release with some detes: <blockquote>Drais Hollywood will include an intimate 2,331-square-foot VIP lounge on ground level with a private VIP entrance separate from the hotels public lobby entry; a 21,552-square-foot penthouse glassed-in bar on the 11th floor with a 1,000-square-foot open air balcony; and an adjacent 2,131-square-foot rooftop pool deck and bar. But don’t look to their Miami Beach boutique hotels—Catalina, Riveria South Beach, Whitelaw, et. al—for clues to the new digs: this baby is a two-in-one, the Hollywood Beach Hotel + Hostel.

W Hollywood Will Have Fancy French Brasserie On Site

The W Hollywood is not expected to open until December 3 but the hotel has already lined up its fancy French Brasserie, according to Eater LA. The street-level indoor/outdoor restaurant will be called Delphine Brasserie.

Operated by Innovative Dining Group (Sushi Roku, Katana, BOA) and designed by NY-based Mark Zeff, Delphine will epitomize a Southern France brasserie such as those located along the C�te d'Azur.
