The Grand Island's Old Bahama Bay Resort is offering a special room rate of $199 from Jan. 4 to March 30.

The rooms, which are discounted 60 percent from high-season regular rates must be booked by Jan.15. Also President's Week is not included.

The hotel has other winter deals and packages such as the "Romantic Rendezvous" and "One Week in Paradise."

And the resort helpfully reminds potential visitors on their website:

"Remember that in The Bahamas, we drive on the LEFT!!"

That, and might we add, "pack some bug spray."
