If you're not looking for five-star luxury, but instead would like to check out a place that used to be owned by Frank Sinatra, and perhaps sleep in a cabin once occupied by Marilyn Monroe--<i>and</i> get a bit of skiing in--then it's worth checking the Cal Neva.</p><p>At the moment they have a Ski the Lake package which starts at $119 per night. That base package is for a single person at the Diamond Peak incline; if you want to ski Northstar or Squaw Valley USA, add $20.
