<title>Ski Hotels 2008: Faded But Fun at Cal Neva Resort</title>
<link>http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2008/2/5/01539/40552</link>
<description>&#x3C;![CDATA[&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;img src=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/3873/Cal_Neva_Resort.jpg&#x22; class=&#x22;imgborder&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/maps/Ski-Hotels-2008-Map&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;img src=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/admin/skihotels2008.jpg&#x22; align=&#x22;right&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E; It may not be quite what it was in its hey day, but the &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Cal+Neva+Resort/ian/124011&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;b&#x3E;Cal Neva Resort&#x3C;/b&#x3E;&#x3C;/a&#x3E; is still offering some reasonable ski packages. If you&#x27;re not looking for five-star luxury, but instead would like to check out a place that used to be owned by Frank Sinatra, and perhaps sleep in a cabin once occupied by Marilyn Monroe--&#x3C;i&#x3E;and&#x3C;/i&#x3E; get a bit of skiing in--then it&#x27;s worth checking the Cal Neva.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;At the moment they have a Ski the Lake package which starts at $119 per night. That base package is for a single person at the Diamond Peak incline; if you want to ski Northstar or Squaw Valley USA, add $20. More likely,</description>
