On October 15, a new hotel under the Design Hotels umbrella opens up in East Hamburg, Germany. The George, decorated by interior designer Sibylle von Heyden mimics old, English-style social clubs, complete with library, a smoker's lounge filled with leather furniture, and a Mediterranean restaurant.
It takes its name from the neighborhood--the hotel is located smack dab in the middle of St. George, Hamburg's trendy, boutique-lined district.
George is offering a E159 introductory rate from October 15 through November 15. Rooms must be booked seven days in advance, so if you're planning a trip to Germany's sport capital, get on it.
