W New Orleans
From the hotel:
What's the word for W New Orleans? Spicy. Located just steps from the notorious French Quarter but in a quieter location for a peaceful night’s rest, W New Orleans is close to shopping, Harrah’s Casino and the Warehouse District.

An affordable slice of hospitality luxury within walking distance to Bourbon, the staff here is delightful. Wi-Fi is the only negative for those traveling for biz, costing a whopping $15 a day. -
Rooms on floor five and probably others can hear the bass from the clubs on the ground floor. Def try to trade up if they stick you on five. -
Don't order celery here, itll cost ya 20 smackers -
Don't order celery- it'll cost you 20 smackers -
Great service. Good location. Horrible beds, you will not sleep past 6 AM bc they are that uncomfortable. And you will get a sinus infection if you use the air conditioner 5/5 people in our party did -
terrible W. Shouldn't be a W. Stay at the French Quarter W instead, and give this one a miss for paper thin walls and shoddy services. -
Stay at Starwood Resorts and get platinum and get free upgrades!! -
Don't run into the glass door when celeb spotting and staring at Sinbaid -
Rooms are small -
You have to swipe your room card to use the elevators at any time. -
Expect interesting things... -
Convenient location and Harrah's Casino is next door. The main wooden entrance door is annoying because you could get hit when the door guy hits the button from the outside! Parking is valet only at -
The pool on 4th is a well deserved chill place after a baking day in the sun and a Mardi Gras spring break party. :) -
Hmmm....compared to barcelona this is a bit disappointing. -
19th floor: Good sunset views. -
Valet parking $40 a nite! Prefer W Charters over this one. Rooms need updating! -
Staff is great. -
let the doorguy hit the button for the automatic door, be careful not to let the doors swing open and hit you in the face. -
Second floor sofas are extremely comfortable... -

Very sleek
Stayed here with a group of girls for a bachelorette party and loved it. Sleek, neat and a perfect spot to hang out.
Atrocious service
The staff was incompetent, slow, and rude. They forgot to clean the room twice in our week-long stay. When they did clean the room, they forgot something. One day no toilet paper, another day no washcloths. When we called for replacements they said "sure" and then never came with them. We checked in at midnight after a long day of travel. They gave us a nice room, but the heater was broken. Their solution was to keep us in the freezing room for 45 mins while we waited for maintenance. The guy could not fix it, so they told HIM to move us to another much smaller, cruddier room. We had to ask to merely be given the same type of room we were originally booked. This place is just awful. Stay here only if you are more interested in looking cool than in receiving competent service.
Happy Homecoming
I lived in N.O. for 6 years, went back this Christmas with my fiance and 16-month-old son. When I booked the reservation I mentioned that I would be traveling with a toddler, and lo and behold there was a crib in the room when we walked in. I brought Baby Einstein videos with me, as Expedia said every room had a VCR. When mine had a DVD player instead, they happily had an engineer switch it out. Service: impeccable. Every request was satisfied, and a phone call followed to make sure of it. Only suggestion: a little more lighting in the rooms, please! (The rooms are definitely designed for more baby-making.) Let's find some dimmers, guys.
Love the W beds
As with all W Hotels the beds are heavenly, comfortable and the best in the business. The staff are friendly and helpful, once they know your name they remember it and call you by your name. It's close to the Quarter and the convention center so you can avoid the noise at night. If you're looking for a "traditional" NOLA experience then you might want to look elsewhere. The W is clean with bright colors and very hip and stylish. If you want a more antique and traditional NOLA experience then don't stay here but if you want a hip and stylish experience then this is the place for you. The two bars are relaxing and a nice place to unwind from the day/night. If you go Zoe's try the grilled endive and roasted roma tomato salad, it's the best I've ever had.
Best Beds in the city
GREAT beds. You cannot imagine these things. Trust me, they make it worth the stay. Very good location and value. New Age decor, trendy and cool. I HIGHLY recommend.
W is for What a Bed
This hotel is cool and funky. The bed has to be one of the most comfortable ever. The room was cute and ultra-modern. The bar in the lobby is a major gathering place for those who want to see and be seen. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The restaurant was only so-so. All in all I enjoyed my stay.
Stylish and relatively reasonable
This W location is much cheaper than the one in the French Quarter, and it's just a short walk away. The lobby bar is nice, as are the lounge areas in the lobby. The rooms are full of W-touches, such as red & black décor, leather furniture and a gumball machine.
