Great hotel- horrible service
Be warned! I had my wallet stolen at their swanky hotel and security or the lack thereof handled themselves unprofessionally. I am a woman in a hotel alone and they simply gave me a new key when they should have given me a new room. The front staff were very stuffy and rude. I have to say I am a frequent SPG member, and because their lack of response the W will not be on my list of hotels to stay at sadly enough. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review but I think it's important to share with people who think about staying there.

This trip was special for our group - "The Nip Tuck Girls." Anyway, the staff were great and attentive. The pool was cool and the view....... Food was great and loved the bathroom! Very stylish! Great location to beach, shopping, food!!!

Kudos to the New Times' 2011 "Best Pool" winner! The enormous pool expands in all directions, and if you squint, it's hard to decipher where the pool ends and the panoramic ocean view begins. -

Breakfast at Steak 954 is quite reasonable for an upscale property. Don't forget that there's a second pool on the west side of level 5. -
I have had Ceasar salad in a lot of places, but here at the W hotel it is fabulous. Make sure to get it with chicken. Very tasty ;)

They brought me an iphone charger to the pool, went down to the store to get me a pack of smokes, GREAT service. The Acura desk service however, don't deal with that queen. -
Don't lump all Florida together as that place "down there." Visit the well kept secrets of The Emerald Coast along the very classy towns of Destin and the beautiful Beaches of Walton. -
My room was cleaned but housekeeping forgot to leave towels. The bathroom isn't for the modest person. If you want ti stay at a resort it's great. If you are here for the beach stay somewhere else. -

House keeping can be asleep at times, make sure you call the front desk if your room is not ready and cleaned by 3pm, one night our room was being cleaned at 10 PM seems we lost housekeeping. -
