Value for Money!! - HOTEL 99
This place for the money you are paying is amazing! I've traveled all over Europe and stayed in budget hotels and they were, dirty and smelt like something had died under the bed. I recently stayed at Hotel 99 on the Upper West Side and it was brand new!! I felt so comfortable knowing that everything was clean and new it was a welcomed change. Hotel 99 is the only option for anyone traveling to New York who doesn't want to spend a fortune on accommodation but still likes some of the finer things in life!!
Affordable and Comfortable
I came in for a business trip, the Hotel was in a perfect location, quick service, the beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, and the rooms were all in great condition. I give my highest recommendation
affordable lodging at its finest
I tried to look for the Murray Hill Inn to review it but couldn't find it, so I decided to leave my thoughts here instead. I stayed at the Murray Hill Inn about two weeks ago. A friend recommended it to me and it looked nice from what I saw on the website. I was very happy with the hotel during my stay. Upon my arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful in checking us in and getting the luggage to our room. The rooms were really clean, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet for being as close to midtown as it is. It's really close to the subway, and in a great part of town. When I left the staff booked a shuttle for me to the airport, and they store luggage after checkout if you have a flight that's later in the evening. Altogether it was a really nice stay, and I'd recommend checking it out.
Great Accommodations for the price
This hotel was exactly what I was expecting based on past reviews that I read and what citysearch had wrote. I was very satisfied with the room and the price because it fit my budget well and left me with money to enjoy NYC. Yes there isn't and elevator but they have a porter who carries al your bags up and down for you. Overall I could not have asked for more or expected more for the price paid. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling on a budget.
sooo great for budget travelers!
I love NY Inns! I've stayed at both the Murray Hill Inn and the Union Square Inn, and I've never been disappointed! The staff is really friendly, and they're always very clean (i'm a total germ freak so that's important in my book. They are both in great locations - The Murray Hill inn is right near all the midtown attractions for travelers (like the empire state building and times square) but it's just far enough away so the noise of the city wont keep you up all night. The one in Union Sq is in such a fun part of town, surrounded by restaurants and bars, plus they have free breakfast, yay! Also, its nice to be able to save money on a hotel and spend it on actually doing things in NYC. I've spent a lot of time looking for cheap hotels to stay in when i visit NY, but these are the best value i've found.I'd be happy to stay with them again. Hopefully I'll be back in NY soon!!
Fantastic Value
I recently had friends in town who wanted to stay in a hotel; however, had a limited budget. After some research, we found the Union Square Inn on Citysearch and it was perfect! Very clean, comfortable, and welcoming -- it was a boutique hotel at a great price. I was impressed when I went to visit them in the hotel -- and they (a very picky audience) left very pleased! I will be recommending to others!
Great Value and comfy room
This is probably the best value to be had in all of Murray Hill and probably the entire city. Be sure to request a room on the 2nd floor or you may have to hike with your luggage. the bathroom was spectacular with a giant shower stall big enough for two. The bed was small (just a full as we only paid $109/night) but clean and comfortable. I will go back again. The staff was also very helpful and gave great recomendations for a local bite to eat.
NO ELEVATOR !!!
Somebody should asked this hotel to mention in its website that THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR !!!! So better check-in as early as possible to be attributed first and second floor rooms... otherwise you will died in the stairway with your suitcase trying to reach the 4th and 5th floor !!! Of course, no one to help you carrying your luggage !!! Good point : newly renovated bathroom... very clean. Weak point : lobby staff not very helpful in solving problems...
Good Midtown location
A real quite nice budget hotel. Located in a safe area with a lot of restaurants and shops for all bugdets. Between the subway stops (6 line) on Park Avenue 28th St. and 33rd St. Near Time Square, Empire State Building. Our room was very cleaned, recent renovated with a nice large private bathroom, daily maid service, recent model tv, my personal advice if you are in two is better spend 10$ more to get a king size bed and being more confortable, and be patiente because there is no elevator so try to stay at 2nd floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely reccomend this hotel for everyone want to spend a pleasant time in New York!
