Ordinary room for a rather Extraordinary price
When you pay $400/night for a hotel room, you expect a $400/night hotel room. My mom noticed there was no shower cap or a bathrobe. Surely any place charging so much a night could swing a shower cap and bathrobe. The room was sort of cheesy inside, nothing remarkably "Newport" about it. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner was pretty generic and probably cost the hotel about 10 cents apiece. It was clean enough, but our sheets had a rip in them, the shower was old and yellowed, and the whole room simply did not measure up to all it should have been. Don't believe the hype (or the pretty website), go stay at a modest hotel elsewhere, spend the money you save on a nice dinner and drinks, and you'll enjoy your stay just as much, if not more.
Great location for this historic hotel.
Recently renovated/ rooms are not huge. good location with parking. located right between bellevue, thames, spring str. with access to just...

Eh In General
Checking in I expected the hotel to be much better than it was since it is part of the Noble House Hotel Group. Thee checkin reminded me of a Marriott and the room, which had just been redone was fine, if you like garish and ostentatious decor. I thought I was in a vegas hotel that was trying to re-enact a by gone era. Its fine but nothing out of the oridinary.
Five Star Hotel
