    • Come on Tuesday & Wednesday night for service from sexy lady bartenders!
    • Awesome movie night every Wednesday night!!
    • an East Village jewel
    • Best bartenders in the city.
    • Come on a Tuesday night and leave the bartender, Bianca, a huge tip. She is super sexy!
    • My other 5th street go to. This place is a gem and possibly the closest replacement to Mars Bar you can find.
    • Maddy hearts Bradley! Tip your bartender!
    • 241 happy hour every day til 8, and awesome movies on Wednesdays :)
    • Tip the bartenders well and you'll always b treated well
    • Also, the two heated pipes against the wall do wonders for your back. It's like a hot tub.
    • Wear your jacket and don't fall off your stool.
    • $6 PBR and well bourbon happy hour is appealing. As is the 4am and later lock-in where you can convince the bartenders to put on your iPod.
    • actually John Ross is mayor of fish bar.

Would probably not return

Room was too dark, not enough lighting. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Free wireless internet was a plus and bedding was very comfortable...

Urban Bed and Breakfast

Rating: 10

Excellent and quaint city B and B - excellent complimentary breakfast; cool, quaint and comfortable room; convienent location and very nice terrace overlooking parts of the city - also, there is free internet access in the lobby and you can make free local calls from your room. Room size was perfect but could of used a coffee table or something to eat on (we just pulled up two chairs which worked fine, but...), furniture was B and B style and very comfortable. Downside: our shower had extremly low pressure and the hot/cold wasn't all that stable- however we talked to people in lower floors (we were on the 15th) and they said their shower was fine. You get a lot for moderate prices and we would stay there again!

do you feel lucky?

I'm not sure how to rate this hotel. The rooms are nice, could use a little updating. We stayed in two rooms, the first was nice, comfortable and fairly quiet (some street noise, even though it was the 10th floor). The shower was strong and hot. Then, the electricity went out in our room! Well, after some investigation, they moved us to a new room. This room was bigger, but a little older looking, and the heating pipes made an awful racket all night long. The shower was weak and not too great. First night rating = 8, second night = 5. Probably would not stay there again...

An Artful Midtown Bargain

Rating: 9

I always send out of town visitors to this cheeful and efficient hotel right in midtown. The service could not be nicer and the rooms are clean and colorful. One of the managers explained to me that Jim Knowles, the proprieter, was a fulltime sculptor and painter before accidentally getting in to the hotel business -- thus the bronze sculptures outside and original art in most of the rooms. It's like a family hostelrie.
