Excelente ubicación.. Servicio en la playa, muy amables, sobre todo las personas del desayuno. N la noche, para los sin niños, una barra que parece entretenida en la entrada del hotel. Nice place! -
They are under renovation, very noisy, drink a lot so you won't care! -
Hotel recém reformado, ainda cheirando a tinta. Quarto muito bom, banheiro ótimo. -
The Poolside is Awesome!
A great place to stay
I have never encountered a more courteous and friendly staff (front desk, porters, housekeepers, doormen, et al) at any hotel; they really made us feel welcome. The front desk staff upgraded us (at no additional cost & because of Priority Club membership) to a full-view room with balcony after we complained that the partial-view room we initially had was not what the website reservation had promised us. The room was clean & nicely appointed. My only complaint would be that they charge a $10 resort fee to use the beach equipment & the pool. If you're going to charge me for it anyway, just roll it into the cost of the room. Don't pitch it to me like I have a choice to decline it. Overall, it's a great hotel with an art deco feel but that isn't as small as one of the art deco hotels on Ocean Drive.
All you need
Royal Palms location on the beach is perfect for anyone. Direct access to the sand, free use of sunbeds, umbrellas and cabanas. No bags, no hassle necessary. Also great service in pool area, w tanks of ice water and sorbets handed out twice a day. All free. Great for children. All pool equipment complimentary after $10 resort fee added to room price. Close also to action at Delano, Ocean Drive and Lincoln Rd. All within 5 min walk. Rooms are new, nice and clean too. Hi speed internet in rooms for fee.
A Really Nice Place
Granted I was somewhat nervous when comparing the prices of adjacent facilities like the Delano and Loews but I was pleasantly surprised by the location, pleasant service staff, beach condition, parking and reception. This is a nice place for singles, couples and families or groups. The room wasn't impeccable (very minor wear and tear) but would I go back? YES... In a New York minute!!!
water please?
Just got back from Sobe, the hotel was so-so, service was ok except for few things. They claim to give you "unlimited free water by poolside" while sunbathing or swimming.. but the bartender guy gave my friends and I attitude for asking for iced water! he kept telling me "there's a fountain over there!" all day long it was like begging the guy for a glass of iced water. The pools were horrible compaired to the next door pool from "loews hotel" They also claim to provide free aloe lotion which they didn't have for 3 days i was there.Sunbath here fine... Swim no, and please be careful when you ask for a glass of water.
Get to the beach, like quick!!
This is your typical hotel/resort. Don't look for Art Deco influences that grace the rest of SoBe. If you want room service, two pools (both with waitstaff), and easy access to the beach, this is the place to be. Suprisingly, kid-friendly and family-friendly (bring the inlaws) as well. Also near Lincoln Mall (2 blocks) and next door to the Loews. Not sure where to stay? Safe bet is the Royal Palm.
