Partner Reviews: The Colonnade Hotel - Summit Hotel

    • great experience! clean room and spacious. great room service and a nice mini bar. my room didn't have a free rubber duck though :(.
    • Walls are extremely thin. Dude in next room had too much to drink, and now I've gotta listen to him wretch all night...
    • If your TV says "no signal" the night staff won't know how to fix it.
    • With all their energy conservation, the hotel cannot electrically support use of CPAP medical devices.
    • Complimentary rubber duckies, spacious layout, and hip furnishings. Win.
    • High floor
    • Parents. Order milk and freshly baked cookies just before bedtime. Your kids will love you.
    • Is this the best hotel in Boston? I think so. Luxurious, spacious bedrooms and friendly, accommodating staff. What more do you want?
    • Free apples in the fitness room! Sweet eh?
    • Be sure to visit the pool and Brasserie Jo.
    • This Boston hotel cut energy use 30% by adding LED lights, more efficient AC units & a building automation system allowing the staff to quickly detect problems & adjust cooling to maximize efficiency
    • great hotel.
    • Check the forecast before setting out on a walking adventure. Getting caught in the rain sort of "dampens" the experience!
    • Great place to stay! Very spacious. Seperate lounge area with flatscreen tv and bedroom with flatscreen also. Large bathroom and good feel to hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly!
    • Sfx-360.com will be there
    • Turn right when you enter the Hotel, we're in Huntington I.
    • Contact the hotel directly for the best available rate. The hotel is on Twitter @colonnade
    • Experience the new Colonnade Hotel after a comprehensive $25M reinvention. Home to Boston's only Roof Top Pool and award winning Brasserie JO

Loved The Colonade, Especially the Rooms

Rating: 10

We had a terrific stay at the hotel. Valentines Day package was awesome. Rose petals on our bed and it was a romantic weekend. Just loved the hotel and can't say enough about our new room. Really comfortable bed and the views of the city were awesome. Room had windows from the floor to the ceiling and we didnt open them because it was cold but it just provided so much natural light and great views. Wife absolutely loved the Keurig coffee machines. We have one at home. It was a pleasant surprise because there was Kona coffee and tea delivered each day. A large high def TV must have been 40 inches and a dvd player was standard. Insane! Also liked the bathroom soaps and shampoos. Staff very friendly and the location could not be beat. The T is outside the front door and mall is right there. Cant wait to return. Oh and the room had a doorbell... first time seeing that.

pool is a joke

Rating: 4

Honestly, the location is not bad. The mall is right across the street, nice dining places are close by, but the hotel itself is not amazing. The rooms aren't bad but for the price per night it is not worth it. the hallway is dim and so are the rooms, the brightest lights are in the bathroom. The most disappointing part was the pool. Either it is closed because its raining...which is understandable, but otherwise I expected a much bigger pool. I've seen better pools at cheaper hotels and this was just pointless. The main reason I decided to stay here was because the rooftop pool seemed so unique...it was just disappointing. Maybe it is better when they have events but otherwise I would have preferred to stay somewhere else

The room was fantastic, very clean, very nice and modern (this was the deluxe room, $20 more than the normal one I think). The only non-working thing was the bathroom fan, very minor. However, we were EXTREMELY disappointed the pool was out of service. I called ahead of time a few days in advance and the person I booked the room with told me it would be available that weekend. The pool mechanic told me on Saturday that the hotel knew things weren't ready the week before. When I asked for some vouchers or something so that we could use the pool some other day, that was denied. So I don't really feel like the hotel went out of our way to make our stay live up to the expectations that were set when I booked the room. Too bad because I liked the hotel in general. But they really didn't go out of their way to make me feel like I should come back.

False advertising, stay away

Rating: 2

This hotel is one of the most disappointing places I have ever stayed (and I travel extensively all over the world, typically in very high-end hotels). They adverstise themselves as a luxury and business hotel. It is neither. The hotel is old, dingy, dark, musty and in a state of embarassing disrepair. My room looked like it had not been updated in 25 years. There were stains on virtually everything- the carpet, walls, furniture, bathroom fixtures & tile, even on the underside of the bedspread. My room had a stale odor that permeated everything. The hotel is just relying upon its location to lure in unsuspecting tourist and business people/convetioners. For the same amount of money there are a number of far superior, cleaner and nicer accomodations in the area.

Extraordinary Service!!!

Rating: 8

My girlfriend and I visited Boston in May, and needed a reasonably priced hotel to stay in for 2 nights. The Colonnade came recommended by a travel agent, and we were not disappointed. Granted, these aren't the nicest, or most luxurious rooms, but they were clean and tidy, and the location is GREAT! And the prices, around $130, were very reasonable for the area. However, I must say that the HOTEL STAFF was AMAZING!! As I was planning to pop the big question, they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Booking the limo, getting flower petals to the room, dinner reservations, you name it - they did it! The concierge and night manager especially, were incredibly helpful, and made sure our stay was PERFECT!! And it was!!!
