Known as the gladiator pit

Parking is free in the evenings. Bring a beach blanket and enjoy the night sky. The bathrooms are locked by 9-10p, I believe.

The movie, Sand Sharks was filmed here. You can see one of those CGI SyFy beasties turn the pier into splinters.

Arguably the birthplace of surfing in California, it still enjoys a fine reputation for the consistency of its summer waves, although local surfers aren’t fond of sharing them with out-of-towners.

Free parking after sunset. Great place to hang out with some coffee at night.

One of the smoothest rides found anywhere, often crowded with surfers competing for every wave. It is one of the most idyllic locations where the backdrops are the mansions of the rich and powerful.

People call it the Bu, I'm renaming it the Zoo! When someone drops in on you make sure you yell because not everyone practices proper surfing edict.
