Six Columbus Hotel

Jason Pomeranc's infinitely delayed renovation of the West Park Hotel was first scheduled to open back in the summer of 2005.

Overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park, 6 Columbus is the newest addition to Thompson Hotels.

Interior designer Steven Sclaroff is supposedly creating "90 guest rooms and suites with a 60s modernist-inspired feel making 6 Columbus one of most anticipated urban retreats in Manhattan."

Most anticipated? Longest. Renovation. Ever. Better be worth it.

    Re: 6 Columbus Circle

We stayed during their "soft opening" this past weekend. We had two rooms. One King Sup and One Dbl Sup. Both rooms were very clean and modern. We had a few issues, ie: safe didn't work. They fixed everything asap. The staff was friendly and very helpful. A small boutique hotel with a great locale. I am a native New Yorker and I was quite impressed by the size of our King room. Big for NYC standards. I would definately stay again, but doubt I could afford $400+/night! We were happy for the deal we got on quikbook.com.

    That's awesome

So far the reviews for Six Columbus look pretty good. Its just a shame they can't keep the rates at $199 forever.
