terrible, terrible, terrible
i'm usually a very flexible person who is down with the inconveniences of staying at an inexpensive hotel, such as a crummy continental breakfast (cold super sugary cereal, broken waffle maker, pastries from a box, etc). what i'm not ok with, however are two major problems we encountered during our stay. first: our room door would not stay shut- on several occasions, after closing the door, it would pop back open when another door down the hall was closed. second: no hot water in the shower. apparently the woman at the front desk "forgot" to turn on the hot water...my question is, why was it off in the first place? we were offered no discount or other compensation for our troubles, and i would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.
Double charged and harrassed me!
Hi, I just wanted to share with my horrible experience with travelodge in Santa Fe. I made a reservation for 3 room in this motel for myself and other people visiting out of the country using my cc card. When we checked in we decided to all pay separately providing a second credit card and paying cash for the 3rd room (bad idea, but my colleagues are from a very remote place in Russia and they do not have a cc card). The day we checked out they not only charged me for all of the rooms, they charged the second cc card and they "did not remember" they took cash for the 3rd room, despite for the hand written receipt. It sis dishonest to take advantage of people who are visiting this country and can barely speak English. i will definitely report you and spread information about your dishonest practices. Not only you charged us twice, you kept calling my cell phone and yelling at me. Your staff is rude and unprofessional except for the young lady who works morning shifts.
Dumpy and nasty...with free wi-fi!
While this spot is in a very convinient location for access to Santa Fe's downtown and art scene, the facilities were less than stellar. The bed was full of Cimex hemipterus (bed critters)! Not much fun. The room was dirty and run down to boot(moldy shower, broken coffee machine etc). To add insult to injury, the night desk guy was unhelpful and once we discovered the insects, there was nobody available until the morning. Look elsewhere!
