Stayed for our 8 year anniversary. Place we originally had planned to stay had no power due to an ice storm. Called the day before arriving and was able to book one of the honeymoon cottages. The cottages were very clean and cozy. Hot tub on the porch was great. Cool night air and warm water made a very relaxing couple of evenings. The massages were great. Very well done. Only tip is bring you own food. Resturant choices are limited to mainly fast food within a 30-45 minute radius. May be slightly over-priced for what you get. Overall a nice place to get away and relax.
Beautiful Resort by Grand Lake
We were looking for a place to stay on Grand Lake for our Anniversary and we searched everywhere for a nice, but clean place to stay. We came across Southern Oaks Resort and what a find it was... They have a variety of cabins and cottages to choose from. We selected a Honeymoon Cabin since it had a nice hot tub on the back deck of the cabin. It was a one of their new units they had added and the pictures were very cute on their website. The cabin was clean, smelled great, and it was just decorated so neat. Bonnie recommended for us to eat at the Artichoke for dinner and it was wonderful. Highly recommend The Artichocke to eat as well. The weekend getaway was wonderful and Bonnie was just great. We will definately make plans to bring the kids and let them enjoy all the amenities of the resort and swim in the pool. Let me not forget to mention we had 2 massages with Cassey and she really was really nice and made us both feel very comfortable with our first massage we have ever had.
