Best meal of my life

Rating: 10

My husband and I went here for my 30th birthday and we both agreed that this was the most wonderful, memorable meal we've ever had. Apart from the deliciousness of the food, the experience was amazing as well. We opted for the 5-course menu and we were not disappointed. The flavors blended together perfectly and everything was plated so well. All of the servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Be prepared to spend a lot of money - however, it is well worth it for a special occassion

Perfection in the city

Rating: 10

What a spectacular place. We live north of the city and still try to get down to the Ritz a couple times a year. The bar is relaxing and fun, and the hotel is nothing short of everything you would expect. If you are really celebrating try the Dining Room, it is very pricey but well worth the experience!

Most amazing food experience ever

Rating: 10

The experience we had here made our one year wedding anniversary celebration amazing. The wine pairing 5 course menu was absolutely a food experience everyone should try. Our waiter treated us like royalty, and the entire experience was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful Hotel, Amazing Service

although I live in Atlanta, I stay at the Ritz one weekend a year just for a "vacation". The service is incredible, and the staff accomodates anything you ask for. Great getaway!

Fun Weekend Getaway

Rating: 10

We stayed at the Buckhead ritz for the 4th of July weekend and had a blast. There is so much excitement in the area during this time of year with the race, fireworks and all. I was impressed with the service even though the hotel was packed. They treat you like a Queen.

Super Luxury, at Luxury Prices

Rating: 10

What you would expect from the Ritz. you pay top dollar but you get top-notch service and every amenity. The location in the heart of Buckhead means traffic, but ditch your car in the parking lot and take taxis or the limo service if you're not going far away. Chantel, the sommelier in the dining room, is one of the best in the world. If you have the money to spend, this place is worth it.

THE NAME SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

Rating: 8

One of the top ten hotels in the nation, the Ritz Carlton is consistently service oriented. I am always guaranteed a wonderful, relaxing stay either for business or pleaure. I would highly recommend listing the Ritz Carlton as one of my true favorites.

Not keeping up with Atlanta, cuisine trends, or appropriate pricing

Rating: 6

I have been to the Dining Room several times before, and although it is certainly not inexpensive, I felt I always received amazing service and great food, along with elegant ambiance. The last item remains unchanged, but on a recent visit for Valentine's Evening dinner, I was extremely disappointed. First, prices were bumped up to $185 per person (without wine pairings - that was $85 more!) for this "special" menu and the number of courses was REDUCED! There was nothing special about the food choices. The nouvelle cuisine, so popular in the 80's, is foolishly still done here. The fois gras was not seared, but a terrine slice ("touchon"). So the quality was indistiguishable. The second course, halibut, was about a 2-ounce portion of good, although a bit salty, fish. Third course, the very good bison filet, was about a 3-ounce portion. I am still very hungry at this point. The last course was the largest, and when the dessert is a basic souffle and a very odd toasted marshmellow (which even the waiter described as "silly") you have to wonder what they are thinking. Perhaps that sugar, water, and eggs are cheaper than fresh fish and beef? Hmmm... In a town where you now have amazing new restaurants and old favorites, with one of the highest patron-to-restaurant ratios in the country, where you can buy amazing fresh foods (including excellent FRESH fois gras), you have to think the Ritz has lost its touch. People are certainly willing to pay a great deal of money for food, but the quality competition with more medium-priced venues is on! Beef suppliers (and supplies) are more generic - the Ritz doesn't get any more "prime" meat that many other upscale venues. And to spend 2 hours in a restaurant over 4 lean courses, pay $565 for dinner with two drinks, and leave hungry is ridiculous. Where did the quality and the value go? And the best part of dining there, the amazing sommelier, Chantelle, is now off getting her Master's. How this place misses her!

Still Five Stars! Very Personable Sommelier, Chantelle Grilhot! Very Classy!

Rating: 10

The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton, is still one of the top Dining Rooms in the city. The room's fine linens, antiques, fireplace, and formal French service, create a dining experience you will not forget. And the very personable, Sommelier, Chantelle Grilhot, brings in a youthful approach, in her selection of wine pairings. The chef's eight course tasting menu, features products grown right here in Georgia. This is special occasion dining. And you won't forget the occasion. Service is top-notch, as well as the chef's menu.

Perfection

Best four hours and $700 that I ever spent on food and wine. If you choose the 8 course with wine pairing, plan on a cab or room at the Ritz.

Great waitstaff, food and presentation

Rating: 10

This intimate dining room is a fabulous fine dining spot. I was very impressed with the attentive waitstaff and the food is phenomenal. Everything was perfectly executed-- from the soup and salads to the entrees and desserts. If you're staying at the Ritz, you don't need to leave the hotel to find a top-notch restaurant...just walk downstairs!!!

The Ritz is the Best in Atl

Rating: 10

The Dining Room experience was exceptional! No screaming kids- nothing to distract from the food and your company. The new Chef Arnaud is great and the food is wonderful and fresh and not tiny like alot of other fine dining establishments. The staff was wonderful and attentive and Chantal took us all over the world with the wine pairings. The Exec Chef of the Hotel Eric Chopin even came to say hello at our table. All in all you cannot beat this experience. A place you must take "foodie" visitors when they visit you in Atl. I almost forgot the brunch. Yum Yum Yum is all I can say. Every Sunday is great but on special holidays they really do a great job! Lots of delicious choices! Nothing compares is Atl.

There's only One Ritz Carlton

Rating: 10

The Ritz Carlton Brand is unbeatable by far. The brand name itself exudes a since of luxury. This hotel is where it's at, as far as Atlanta. The lobby bar is always the place to be seen after work hours. Every time I stay at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead I feel like a true VIP. They always have a welcome back card from guest relations and some kind of amenity to show they appreciate the business. You know that you are the Ritz Carlton's number one priority.

great food, everytime

Rating: 9

The Ritz has soom of the best food in Atlanta without a doubt. Their theme buffets, especially the asian theme, are both unique and delicious. the fried chicken salad, a simple entree, even has a gourmet flare that puts it at the top. The service is impeccable, well worth the money.

Ridiculous!

Sorry - the Ritz Buckhead is so far from a hip boutique hotel that it hardly merits the effort to contradict. It's a luxury chain. Not hip. Not a boutique. Period.

Most Lavish Sunday Brunch in Town

Rating: 7

I'm just writing about the extraordinary Sunday brunch at the Ritz. It beats all others hands down! It's also the most expensive hands down at $60 per person. If you have a special occasion or just want to indulge yourself, this is it. They have made-to-order omelets, carved meats, sushi, caviar, stone crab claws, cocktail shrimp, cheese selection, and many more. The only problem is the service. It is absolutely horrible. I'm not just complaining about one experience; I've been there for brunch over 10 times. You have to ask them to refill your drinks and they wait after 2 to 3 plates pile up before they take them away. Ritz-Carlton food and decor with Marriott service.

We were seated in a semi private room that gave us a view of the entire restaurant. Charles was our server and is fun, professional, and knowledgeable. Bruno the Chef even came and visited our table. The food of course, what can I say, it is the Ritz.

Outstanding! I am an Executive Chef in Atlanta and unfortunately, overly critical to the point that my wife and I had given up on the PERECT dining experience. God bless the team at The Dining Room. The service, cuisine and wine pairings were mind blowing. It was an inspiring experience for us and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Priceless!
