Beautiful escape

Rating: 10

Rooms are priced according to location and privacy. We stayed in the butterly room (least expensive) -rustic and luxurious. The room rate includes a stocked mini bar with juices and snacks. The property is perched on a cliff amidst a forest overlooking the pacific ocean with breathtaking views! There are benches placed in secluded spots with ocean views. The restaurant has good food and beautiful views. Additionally, nice touches around hiking trails included buckets of bottled water. There are many trails to walk along and there is a wading and lap pool, and fitness center. You can star gaze at night with an astronomer or walk along with Bill Post (one of the owners) for a tour of local plantlife and history during the day. There are many nearby parks. As with all other reviewers: Although it was expensive, I was sad to leave and will definately return.

AMAZING!

Rating: 10

this place is amazing!!! we stayed in one of the tree houses which had awesome views. the staff is incredibly attentive. every detail is thought of. once we arrived we didn't want to leave. the grounds are so beautiful. one thing every guest must do is the nature walk with billy post. his family has owned the land for three generations. billy walks you around the property giving you history of big sur and he knows every single plant and tree you pass. I would go every few months if I could afford it.
