From the hotel:

Going back in time, to the year 1850, we learn that our premises consisted of a stable and a group of rooms where, for example, Gral. Bartolomé Mitre, the first Constitutional Argentinian President and founder of La Nación newspaper, stayed. Our premises, which have always been used as a hotel, still keep distinctive characteristics of those times regarding structure and varied elements that remind us of colonial times as it happens in every corner of Colonia del Sacramento.
