Poor customer service
Never stay here. They told us that our room would not be ready until 6pm because nobody was moving out then they finally at the last minute found a room and it was smoke filled. I requested that we be switched to a room without all the smoke. They apologized and said that they had 60 people they were unable to get in. When I went to check out I found out that everyone now has a room but nobody ever called me to move to another room. I even checked with them several times. Nan was the person helping me. She rolled her eyes and gave me an attitude. Very poor customer service.
1 night in Oakwood apartment in Marina Del Rey, caused many flea bites on our legs
In October 2007, we stayed at Oakwood apartment in Marina Del Rey. 1. The building is used asbestos. 2. Pets allowed. Even someone's pet is dirty and have many flea and mite. They're peeing around the garden, pool side, wherever. 3. Maid might take your personal belongings when you're out. 4. Even ask for making up your missing belongings, the manager just says "We're sorry, but we cannot find them or pay back for you" Oakwood apartment in Marina Del Rey has over 500 rooms but the staff are not smart enough to manage it. We lost prescribed medicine, bathroom equipment, prescribed body cream for super sensitive skin, prescribed contact lenses and its solution, expensive cosmetics, etc. Most maid don't speak English so be careful. We had to go see a doctor to get medicine and contact lenses without any insurance since we're not American. We slept in the car for 2 nights to away from flea. Then we moved out. When we're looking for another apartment, explained why we need another room urgently, some hotel receptionists said "We've heard that problem a lot" Which means Oakwood apartment in Marina Del Rey is famous with flea problems. We were thinking to fight in the court, but since it was our first vacation after the wedding, we just left there and started enjoying our stay in the US. It was a nightmare we have ever had.
