Okay...

Rating: 4

I did a last minute hotel reservation and the Nylo for my husband and I to get away and have a good time, relax and have some drinks and the club downstairs. I was very impressed with the decor in the building. I loved that I checked in a kiosk and just by swiping my card I was given my key and went straight up to my room. I was impressed with the room. The bathroom was very cool. As I was exploring the room then I discovered that the walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbor clear as day. I heard her whole converstation clearly. As I was waiting for my husband to get there I started to look at my surrounding and found that the shower nozzle was broken. the foot stool for the couch had a broken leg. The bed was supposed to be king bed but come to find out it was two mattresses put together and you could feel the crack in the middle when you slept. Oh wait there was no sleeping because you can hear EVERYTHING from the club below. Im sorry but if we were on the 3rd floor I can only imagine how loud it was for the people below us. Geezz.. Oh and I purchased the breakfast in the morning package. That was a waste of money the staff didnt even know if I was paying customer or not. We went in got the OKAY food and left. I had no interaction with any staff. I will say this place is probably a good thing if you go the club and stay out all night then come back to the room to sleep it would work. If you are looking for a get away and a relaxing fun time, then this is not the place for you. It was cheap so what can you expect.

Great Hangout in Plano

Rating: 6

I went out recently to NYLO to meet some friends and had an awesome time and this trendy hotel. Great atmosphere, DJ on the weekends and an extensive bar menu. If you are looking for somewhere different to go in the Plano or Frisco area, you need to come visit HYLO Hotel.

Heat Suana! Overpriced!

Rating: 2

We had a really great waitress. The atmosphere was pretty cool as well. BUT!!!! and I do mean BUT!!! The place was extremely overpriced. I was there during happy hour and a bottle of beer was $4.00 on the happy hour price. I'd hate to see what the regular price was. Some of the martinis that were on happy hour price were $7.00. To me, that is just too much. Some of the people I was with ordered food, and the food looked unappetizing, and was overpriced as well. And to top everything off, I think this hotel did not realize that they were in Texas, and they had windows with out any type of shading, blinds, or curtains. It was so hot in there, and the sun was shining on us all. We were soooooooo hot! It was awful. I definitely will NEVER go back again.

Poor Customer Service

Rating: 2

I have been trying for the past two weeks to book a party at this venue and have been given the complete run around by their staff. I am going some place else b/c if that is any indication of the level of service they provide, I'm sure I wouldn't have an enjoyable event. They are too new in the metro to treat potential customers off.

Best patio for relaxing after work

Rating: 10

My girlfriends and I wanted to try some place new and had heard about "the NYLO" opening up over by McAfee so thought we'd check it out. We didn't know what to expect driving up to it, looks somewhat industrial, but once inside, you feel like you've walked into a NYC lounge / club but without the attitude. The drinks were very good, wine list was doable but the feel of the place is what we really liked. Very hip but relaxed at the same time. Finally, something cooler than a "pub" comes to corporate headquarter haven. We've desperately needed a cool place to hang out after work and this is perfect. I can't wait for Spring to sit outside on the patio, kick back in the chez lounges(?) ha! There's a fire place by the pool, which I love. That will be nice once the sun goes down. The crowd was good, not too cheesey not too uppity. I really did like it. Planning our next work happy hour there. Thank you for finally bringing us business types a cool place to unwind.

My worst hotel experience ever, we had to leave at 11 pm.

Rating: 2

My fiance booked a room at the new NYLO hotel for us for New Years Eve. We are big fans of Phillip Starks properties and were excited to have something comparable in the metroplex. He had requested a pool view room and we were in one overlooking the highway. The staff let us switch to the one across the hall. The view is still not good, but was better. We immediatley noticed that the loud club music from the bar downstairs could be heard quite distinctly in our room. I asked the manager if it would get any louder and he assured me it would not. We went to dinner and a bar and then came back to the hotel. The music was then so loud that we could not hear each other or watch TV over it. I called the front to ask to switch rooms again. After 3 phone calls I was told that the manager had checked all the available rooms and that the music could be heard even on the fifth floor. They offered us a $10 free breakfast to compensate. I told them that we would just check out and would not be paying for our stay. I was put on hold and then told that if we were out before midnight there would be no charge. Thankfully we live in downtown Dallas so we just drove home. Cute hotel, if you want to sleep in a club. Also, we were on their special "Pure" level that was supposed to be allergy free, but the exposed duct work in the halls was covered in very thick dust.
