dump

Rating: 2

we were very disappointed with this dumpy motel out of the 50's. It hasn't been updated or cleaned since then. The description gave incorrect info. The rates were higher than show. The room looked very very different from the hpoto on line. It was shown to be a B & B but when we asked, we were told that that was old news. They haven't changed their website or the book in the room. Also listed many channels available on the TV, when in fact they only had a few. False advertising!!! Wish we had looked at the room before signing the agreement. The sheets were stained, but they did change them. One bar of soap, 2 washcloths, 2 towels, 1 roll of toilet paper. Definitely do not recommend!!

Wedding Disaster

Rating: 2

I had my wedding and reception there. THAT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE. The waiters were awful, I did not get the champagne toast (which I paid for). The men's bathroom toilet was backed up!! the manager/owner was rude to my guest. She pushed my guest out by 10. DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING THERE!! You will regret it. It was suppose to be the best day of my life, but it was actually the worst.

Unprofessional

Rating: 2

This place is the most unprofessional place I have ever known. This place cancelled my cousins wedding a week before her wedding b/c they were so disorganized and never put my cousin down for the date after my cousin has talked to the event planner, MIRIAM, numerous times for over a month! After that was all figured out and the event planner was mad at my cousin for her mistake and she told my cousin she was going to lose business if she did her wedding!! And basically told my cousin that she was going to get bad service, why would you tell a customer that!!! The manager acted like he didn't care so obviously, they must be related! Don't go here, unless you are desperate!

$250 a night for a disgusting, moldy shack of a motel (not hotel)

$250 a night for a disgusting, moldy shack of a motel (not hotel) -- The owner of this motel should be embarrassed. Clearly there is no "pride of ownership" here. It strikes me that the current owner is very short-term focused since there is little chance anyone will have much good to say about this motel and little chance that any guest would want to stay here again. The only chance this owner has is to continue catering to people willing to spend about $250 per night on an old, dirty, run down, moldy shack of a motel with poor customer service, antiquated systems, noisy disgusting jacuzzis, a freezing cold "heated" pool, cramped parking, shoddy construction, broken light fixtures, squeaky closet doors, pee-stained bathrooms, unworkable windows, and odd-shaped waste of space rooms. What a joke that we actually brought our bathing suits specifically for this pool. The website is completely misleading. When we arrived it took half an hour to check us in even though we had the confirmation number provided directly by the motel. We were then double charged for our stay. This took well over a month, several phone calls, several attempted faxes (but their fax was not working), a report to a consumer bureau, a great deal of stress and frustration, several broken promises, and as of this writing, yet unresolved. Truly a sad way to run a business.

Not a Good Bet

Rating: 2

It does not live up to the cute exterior. Stayed here in multiple rooms with extended family. Rooms are small and shabby, lacking very basic ammenities (not enough towels and just one soap), front door opens to a very tight parking lot. You are awaken to either the smell of exhaust or the sound of cars trying to manuver out of the tight spaces. Customer service boarders on non-existent. The practice of charging the room to the offered credit card at the time of check out WITH the customer signature is not a practiced habit here. Wrong credit cards charged for the wrong rooms since we were charged without our consent or knowledge. After a 1 hour check out ordeal, we were told that nothing could be done until a manager comes. A manager will call us. Never did. We had to call repeadtedly until we were able to speak to a manager. Not helpful or apologetic at all. Their policy seems to be, "Oh well, too bad" I would not recommend this location for lack of customer service and poor ammenities. Please check out other reviews as well.

    • We stayed in the suite but when we arrived it looked as though someone pulled up the sheets w/out changing them. The pillows didn't smell clean.
    • Don't let the lack of crowds since the ownership change deter you - still a great spot for brunch with a view
