A relaxing vacation
My wife and I recently visited old orchard beach, and our stay at the grand beach inn was a great experience. The grounds are kept exceptionally clean, and the sunset views of the marsh are incredible. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food at the cafe was great. The location allowed us to get the seclusion we needed, while still remaining a short walk from the pier and downtown old orchard. I look forward to future stays here.
NEVER AGAIN
We recently stayed at the GRAND BEACH INN in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. I should have known when the 2 couples ahead of me in the office upon arriving were not happy at all with the conditions. The rooms were far from being as advertised on the web site. They were in very poor condition, dirty, beds were terrible, not even flat they were on a slant. When I booked, I was told that I would be directly on the beach, which was why I booked there as we had a grandaughter with us and I thought that would be a treat for her on the ocean. Well, guess what , ocean was across the street, you had a public walkway leading to the ocean. Very misrepresented. Management did not want to hear anything about this and was very rude. We would not recommend this place to anyone.
