Average- ice maker broken, no elevator but clean
My bf and I went to Las Vegas and chose the La Quinta because they allow dogs. When we arrived, we asked for a luggage cart, but they only have one and it was being used. No big deal, it took us a couple of trips back and forth to the car, would of been more convenient if we had a cart. The room smelled very strongly of pinesol cleaner. We had to open up the windows and doors to air it out because the smell was giving us a headache. It cleared out in a couple of hours. Overall the room was comfy and clean, very clean. We checked the mattress and pillows which were freshly bleached and clean. It was nice to have a window that opened, and the air conditioner worked brilliantly. The bathroom was small, but clean. This place offers nothing fancy, so if that's what you want you will be sorely disappointed. Another reason we stood here was because it was really cheap, and only a mile off the strip which was nice because we had our car. ALL off the icemakers in the WHOLE hotel were broken which I thought was a MAJOR drag. It's nice to put your water bottles and soda's on ice :( There is a convenience store across the street, but it seemed sketchy at night time, during the day your fine. The best part of the place was the continental breakfast. They had fresh OJ, apple juice, boiled eggs, cappuccino, cereal, cinnamon toast, bagels, and a fresh Belgian waffle maker with toppings. Overall the place was fine, it was a drag that a couple of accomadations were missing, but it was cheap and we could bring our pet. One more thing, there is no elevator at this place. No big deal for us since we are young and healthy, but I imagine that elderly or sick people would have a hard time getting luggage up the stairs. Best of luck in your travels!
