Partner Reviews: Hotel ZaZa

    • Great space to host an event. Standard rooms are huge. Great pool and the restaurant is delicious. Guaranteed room service in 15 minutes. All around great hotel!
    • 1. Have Valentina read my fortune with her tarot cards. 2. In-room massage. 3. Another in-room massage. 4. Breakfast in bed. 5. Mani-pedi, facial and a kiss goodnight immediately after lunch. xoxo
    • Ask for a room above the pool in summer and enjoy the party down below as you relax on the patio from your room
    • Sunday School brunch. It is like a rave with grown ups and fantastic food.
    • Dragonfly's Chef Dan Landsberg created a playful menu that includes twists on classic dishes like grilled lamb lollipops with pickled Jalapeños and tart balsamic greens.
    • Wanna party? Stay poolside. Need your quiet time? Don't stay poolside.
    • On October 29, 2005, WorldVentures kicked off our Pre-Launch phase in a Hotel ZaZa ballroom with a little over 100 fired up new Reps. It was a packed room and was by personal invitation only.
    • Andrew and Julian treated me like VIP at the bar, one of the best hotels I have stayed at, within distance of most bars and clubs. Made Dallas go to the top of my destination lists....
    • Call to reserve your spot for the Vegas style "Sunday School" brunch! Champagne, sparklers , DJ Zoo and dancing pandas (and sometimes bananas) every 3rd Sunday of the month!
    • This chic boutique hotel where everyone is treated like a VIP is home to the award-winning Dragon Fly bar & poolside lounge.
    • Stay in a Concept Suite or one of the Magnificent 7 Suites to get a good feel of what this hotel is all about.
    • Andrew is the best bartender!! Ask for him, he makes great drinks!
    • $20 Dewars! Way overpriced bar!
    • Ask about the hotel's ZZIP loyalty program to earn benefits (e.g., a complimentary room every sixth stay).

Love this Hotel ans the decor!

Impressive hip decor for a Hotel, fun nightlife for Dallas, and a great locaton if you are looking to centrally locate yourself in the Dallas Downtown area. This downtown Dallas hotel has a fantastic restaurant and the pool has pretty women and hunky men in the summer! My girlfriends go there when it warms up to sip by the pool during the great happy hours they have and show of their new summer strappy dresses. I say give it a try, there really is something for everybody at this hip and cool hotel in downtown Dallas.

Fun UpScale and artistic

This is a Dallas HotSpot; trendy and alot of fun. I wish I knew about places like this when I was younger and single. Great spot and very modern artistic atmosphere.

Fun if you want to party - but...

ZaZa has a great restaurant and bar area. The hotel rooms are unique and stylish. And that's where it ends. For business travel, this hotel is a bust. The walls and floors are thin, the nightlife can be heard on all floors. Rooms on the street side are greeted with incessant noise from the lobby and valet area, and rooms on the poolside are no better. Internet access is hit-and-miss. While turn-down service complete with candles is a nice touch, I'll choose ZaZa for dinner at Dragonfly - and then drive to another hotel for a restful night's sleep.

A friend flew in town to see me so, and had never been to Dallas. I wanted to treat her to a really nice hotel so I chose Hotel ZaZa. I had heard the hotel was very nice with a great bar and pool. We walked in, it is very eclectic and cool, walked up to the front desk. Not greeted with a smile from the brunnette standing there. First mistake. The room was very nice and hip looking. The pool is SMALL. Way too small for my taste. We were sitting in our chairs with our backs litterally in the bar area. The room service menu is VERY small as well. Stayed there on a wednesday night and the bar was completely empty. W asked the hotel to take us to a mexican restaurant near by and the driver was seriously the worst driver in Dallas. Called a cab for the ride back. There is an iron but no ironing board. You have to call room service to have them bring it up. Didn't even bother. AT 7am I was woken up by people walking upstairs and moving things around. At 9:45, I finally went downstairs to a manager to tell them I can hear everything coming from upstairs. The walls are super thin. She said sorry and she would figure out what's going on. The moving from upstairs did stop, so I guess housecleaning starts VERY early. The manager never called to ask if everything was okay. I checked out that afternoon, (after paying my 18.00 valet for parking overnight!!!) and will not be staying there ever again. I will go to the bar on a weekend when it's busy but as for staying at the hotel again, it does not live up to it's hype. I give it 3 stars.

Didn't do a good job of the details

Rating: 6

The hotel is in a good location and has a young and hip feel. However, I think they forget the details for the young and hip. First, they have the WORST room service of any hotel I have stayed at. My boyfriend and I were there for a long holiday, we like to use room service. Not only is it VERY slow their selection of menu is awful and they close by 11 pm. After 11 you can get "a turkey sandwhich, a ham sandwhich or a salad" which is literally what they said. Otherwise, you can order Chinese into your room...which their food wasn't bad. But we were shocked that at a 4.5 start hotel we had to order in Chinese food!!! The staff is very snobby and aren't willing to go the extra mile to help. I probably won't stay there again, I think it's a waste of money to stay at such a nice place with the disappointing customer service.

One of the Best

Rating: 10

my husband stayed at zaza several times when traveling for business and raved about it each time he returned home. i finally got to experience it for myself as part of our evacation from new orleans for hurricane katrina. what a treat! i loved it from the moment i arrived in the lobby. and things just got better from there. our room was spacious and beautifully furnished. the bathroom was grand (i love big, new hotel bathrooms). after settling in our room a bit we went downstairs to the restaurant bar and had appetizers and drinks. the bar staff was so friendly and really knew what they were doing. max and j.p. were great. i found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful. we will definitely return, but hopefully next time it will be under better circumstances.

Like staying a brothel

Rating: 4

Hotel ZaZa tries to be the sexy, young hotel for the hip young traveler, but it just comes off as being the trashy little sister who wants attention. Colorful and fun to look at, but not luxurious by any means. They are all about an image and could care less about their older, less sexy guests. It shows in their service.
