Okay, but would not do it again.
The hotel was nice enough. The front desk clerks were polite and friendly. One even loaned us his umbrella when it started to rain. Downside: First,there is only one ice machine and it is on the first floor near the garage. Second, the balcony doors are not very secure. The major problem with this is that our balcony served two rooms. I did not feel too safe with a door that would not latch properly and a balcony allowed access from another room. Finally, we did find some evidence of poor cleaning (leftover prailine pecan, dirt, hairs).
Great buy!
We just returned from a great weekend in New Orleans. The hotel is SO close to Bourbon but far enough away for a peaceful night's sleep. The room was great and we had one of the big courtyard balconies. The staff was very helpful, as well. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. Try the adjoining restaurant (827 1/2 Toulouse) - the desserts are fantastic!
