Filthy place

My parents booked my family into this motel because it seemed reasonable. They were shown a room that was neat and clean compared to others they had seen in different motels. When my wife and I arrived there with our son on February 18 we found a room that smelled like smoke. There was mold in the drop ceiling tiles in the kitchen area and on the tub surround in the bathroom.. The sink area was filthy and the cabinet partially kicked in. The refrigerator had things growing in it and the stove top was filthy. The bed linens were stained and ripped as was the carpeting.I do not expext the Ritz Carlton for 70 dollars a night but I expect things to be neat and clean. We stayed for less then 2 hours before deciding to go to a Holiday Inn that was double the price buta much nicer atmosphere with a much better clientelle. I am writing a complaint to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for the state of Florida and I wil also be writing to the Palm Beach County authorties as well. This is my first time ever rating a motel. I felt that tis was extremely important as other people will unfortunately be using this facility. Hopefully they will read this and other reviews and take their business elsewhere if the owner has not cleaned up the place. Just because a person may not be able to afford over 100 a night or does not want to spend that much just for a place to sleep does not mean they should have to put up with these kind of conditions.
